St. John’s Law Racing to Support Public Interest
The 22nd Annual Public Interest Auction has been rescheduled due to the inclement weather in and around the NYC area. The NEW date for the Auction will be Wednesday, April 4th.
We still need your help in funding a Trifecta for three (3) Summer Public Interest Fellowships ($5,000 each)!
In 2017 we raised funds for 23 Summer Public Interest Fellowships, out of 37 eligible applicants, leaving 14 positions unfunded. Fellows spent their summer in a variety of public service settings including multiple public defender offices, local District Attorney’s Offices, and organizations such as the Administration for Children’s Services, the NYPD Advocate’s Office and Catholic Charities Immigration Legal Services. Students secure the internship and then apply to St. John’s Law for funding.
Make your gift before post-time on April 4th
and help us reach our Trifecta goal of three (3) $5,000 Public Interest Fellowships!
Please feel free to pass along this campaign to your classmates and friends by email or post to social media….. and keep checking back to see how we are doing!
THANK YOU!
To Our Public Interest Supporters:
We reached and surpassed our online goal of three summer public interest fellowships, but the campaign is not over yet! We still have seven hours to go, which means we could possibly get to a fourth fellowship. That would be a $20,000 4-fellowship win!
Thank you for being an advocate for public interest....keep passing the link along to classmates, friends, and colleagues who share your support of public interest initiatives and keep checking back to see how we are doing. We have until midnight tonight.
To those who will become our newest alumni group - the Class of 2018! Many many thanks for your show of appreciation for your legal education by paying it forward to the classes that follow you.
Best to you,
St. John's Law
Thank you Donors! We are almost to our goal of three summer public interest fellowships - a great kick-off for the Auction that begins tomorrow at 6:30pm.
If you can reach out to just one classmate/colleague or friend to make a $22 donation to the Public Interest Campaign for fellowships, we should make it to 100% and maybe even another fellowship.
We have one more day to help fund our premier fundraising event for Public Interest Center Programs. Let's make it a good one!
Many many thanks for your support of the Law School's Public Interest fellowships!
Our Best to you,
St. John's Law School
Dear Public Interest Supporter,
Thank you for getting us to 64% of our goal.
With the expected storm due into NYC, we have moved the Public Interest Auction to April 4th. So, our online campaign will extend to April 4th as well - giving us a little more time to reach our goal of 3 summer public interest fellowships and maybe even help us get to a 4th?
Can we continue to ask you to reach out to classmates and friends to help us get to the finish line? Here is the link - stjohns.edu/law/pia - We're getting there!
Many, many thanks.
St. John's Law School
Hello Public Interest Supporter and Friend of the Law School,
We have until tomorrow to make our $15,000 goal. We are currently at $7,200, thanks to your support.
Can we ask a favor? Might you reach out to your classmates and friends today with this link - www.stjohns.edu/law/PIA and ask them to help us meet our goal of raising three public interest fellowships?
A gift of $22, $122, or $1,222 or more in honor of the 22nd Annual Public Interest Auction would be a great way to help our law student fellows do important public service work in the community during the summer months.
We need another $8,000 by tomorrow - with your help in reaching out to others, we can do this!
With sincerest thanks from the Law School!
