We are #1! St. John’s University is the highest ranked four-year Catholic university in the nation for social mobility, according to The Chronicle of Higher Education. This is a very meaningful measure of success for St. John’s as it is the only national reporting that measures what we have strived to achieve for 150 years—the provision of educational opportunities to those lacking economic, physical, or social advantages. 

Critical to the provision of this, is the availability of scholarship support.  St. John's awarded over $200 million in financial aid last year.  That is comprised of institutional dollars, scholarships funded by the University endowment and, the contributions of donors like you.   

You are an integral member of the St. John's family.  As you can see through listening to the stories that are the heart of this campaign, your support is making a huge impact on other members of our family - our students. 

Their cost for each undergraduate credit hour is $1,500. The average class is three credit hours, and the majority of our students take 15 credit hours each semester. Most students need to fund a total of $22,500 per semester in tuition.  

What can YOU do to help? With more than 190,000 alumni, gifts of any amount make a difference. Just 30 donors giving just $50 each provides an entire credit hour for a student. Think of what can be accomplished if we all pull together!
