Campaigns for St. John's University can be unrestricted -- allowing the university to apply the funds where they are needed most -- or they can be designated to support any of the specific university initiatives or entities listed below.

  • A campaign to support the University's most needed priorities via the Annual Fund. Such campaigns will have a broad and immediate impact on the lives on St. John's students by enriching academic programs, enhancing facilities, improving technology, and augmenting the University's General Scholarship Fund.
  • A campaign to establish a scholarship that will help St. John's students realize their dreams of a quality college education and help to secure the University's future. An endowed scholarship can be established with a minimum of $50,000. An expendable scholarship can be established with a minimum of $5,000.
  • A campaign to boost an existing scholarship fund.
  • A campaign to support St. John's athletics. Such campaigns can raise funds for the General Athletics Fund, for athletic academic support, for the Red White Club, or one of St. John's 17 men's and women's Division I sports programs.
  • A campaign to strengthen one of the University's six schools and colleges: the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the School of Education, the Peter J. Tobin College of Business, the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, the College of Professional Studies, or the School of Law.
  • A campaign to bolster a specific academic program.
  • A campaign to enhance the spiritual aspect of the St. John's experience via support for the Bread and Life Program, the Campus Ministries Fund, and/or the University Service Day.
  • A campaign to support a student organization.

Campaigns must be consistent with St. John's University's stated mission, purpose, and priorities. Campaigns must not violate the terms of the university's corporate charter, be unduly burdensome to administer, pose an unacceptable risk of liability to St. John's University, or benefit a specific St. John's University employee or student.
