Hello everyone, my name is Daniel C. Haynes, proud President’s Society alumnus and Co-Chair of the President’s Society Alumni Association.

As we kick off Giving Day at our university, I’m reaching out because I believe deeply in what this community represents — not just excellence, but responsibility.

Many of us remember what it felt like to be students balancing ambition with financial pressure. And often, it’s not tuition that creates the crisis — it’s the unexpected academic expense. A textbook. A lab fee. A technology charge. A housing gap.

That’s why I’m calling on our PS alumni to rally behind the Student Basic Needs fund — a resource that directly supports students facing urgent academic financial needs so they can remain enrolled and stay focused.

I believe we can raise $2,500 from our PS alumni network. That’s an attainable goal if each of us commits to making a gift today!
