About

The St. John's University Mission Food Insecurity Fund is an important part of our Vincentian mission. We can address long term needs by referring students to assets like SNAP and local food pantries. But, we also need to address short term need such as when a student's parent loses their job and can no longer afford a meal plan, or when students with jobs are faced with the prospect of having to choose between paying for their education or paying for food. In those circumstances, we put swipes on a student's meal card so that they do not go hungry that day. But, that requires us to pay outside vendors, and we are facing $100ks worth of need. We need your help.

St. John's is proud of our legacy of service, and our success in helping our students achieve upwards social mobility. Please make a gift today so that our students do not have to make the choice between buying a meal and affording their education.
