Phyllis Bell Black History Month Scholarship Campaign

By Melissa Akers-Atkins

This campaign ended on February 28, 2019, but you can still make a gift to St. John's University by clicking here!

What started off as Negro History Week in 1926 by Dr. Carter G. Woodson, is now an annual month long celebration. During Black History Month, there is a special emphasis on family, education, work ethic, individual responsibility, and entrepreneurship.

In honor of our 30th Anniversary, it is our goal to collectively raise $30,000 by December 31, 2019. We give in support of our future Innovators as they strive for academic achievement and continue serving as Black Student Leaders on campus.

Our 1st campaign has a goal of $3,000, and will run from February 1, 2019 - February 28, 2019.

Please continue to look for our additional campaigns throughout the year.
