The March page of the 12 Months of St. John’s Calendar celebrates our history of athletic achievement, and anticipates the glory yet to be achieved. You can download the March calendar page here.
March is the month most commonly associated with St. John’s University’s proud athletics tradition. The sport we are most famous for, and has the longest history, is Men’s Basketball. However, since our athletics program was founded in 1907, it has grown and changed tremendously. With seventeen intercollegiate men’s and women’s sports, we have a lot to be proud of and celebrate. In the spirit of Women’s History Month, we are proud to highlight the accomplishments of the Women’s Basketball Team.
The accomplishments of our student-athletes are a continual source of school pride and a powerful reminder for us of why we were founded. The hard work currently undertaken by our coaches , administrators, and staff demonstrates the formidable promise and possibilities of the St. John’s academic and athletic experience.
Being faithful to the mission is what enables St. John’s to be the life-changing place that it has been for 150 years. With your continued support, our mission endures, grows, and thrives—just as St. John’s University has done since its humble beginnings.
We remain committed to forging a path of mobility and opportunity for those who want to make a difference in the world. As a private, Catholic, and Vincentian University, St. John’s prepares students for personal and professional success in today’s global society while never wavering from our founding mission.
