For the third year in a row, U.S. News & World Report ranked St. John’s University's The Maurice R. Greenberg School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science as among their top undergraduate insurance programs (#7). These undergraduate business rankings are based on peer assessment surveys of programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. St. John’s University is the only private institution among these identified top programs to have both the Center for Actuarial Excellence designation of the Society of Actuaries (SOA) and the acknowledgment of the International Insurance Society (IIS) as a Global Center for Insurance Education. While we’ve known the strength of our programs all along, we’re proud to maintain these external validations and accolades.
The year has brought unprecedented challenges, however. While fundraising is always a key component to our provision of student aid, we are doubly tested this year as we are unable to hold our Insurance Leader of the Year Award Dinner. This event generates vital student scholarships and program support, to the tune of more than $1 million annually. Without the funds that we raise, a majority of our diverse student population could not afford to attend the Greenberg School of Risk Management. As such, we have launched a campaign inviting our supporters to donate to an emergent scholarship trust for deserving GSRM students. At this extraordinary time in all of our history, we ask that you consider a contribution to this important Greenberg School of Risk Management Student Emergency Support Fund, and help us deliver on the educational promise of the School. Our students truly need our help and every gift – at any level – is important to this mission-driven fund.
