The Chemistry Department of St. John’s University has been serving students since 1921 when we offered our first chemistry classes. In order to ensure the success of future generations of chemistry majors, and to commemorate the 100th anniversary in September of 2021, we have established the Centennial Chemistry Endowed Scholarship Fund for Chemistry majors in St. John’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
Our goal is to reach $100,000 by our anniversary. The funds from the scholarship will be awarded to a chemistry major in their sophomore, junior, or senior year, with preference for a student with financial need.
With the holiday season just around the corner, there's no better way to celebrate then with a gift on Giving Tuesday. Every gift, no matter the amount, will make a difference. It all adds up! And Professor Alison Hyslop has pledged to match any gifts to the fund up to $1,000.
