Empowering Women, Changing Lives
#ByWomenForWomen is a movement where we introduce to you the women of GLOBE, who include 80% of our borrowers as well as our student managers and partners, the Daughters of Charity, who serve as local field partners. Seeing as Women’s History Month was just last month, we aim to amplify the voices of women and celebrate their achievements, as well as invest in their futures.
In GLOBE, we provide loans to entrepreneurs in the developing world with the donations we receive from people like you. Our mission is simple yet profound: to empower women entrepreneurs in the developing world through microfinance.
Your contribution can help women like Jazmina, a 42-year old woman from Nicaragua who takes care of her sick, elderly parents with the money she makes from reselling paper cups and plates to the people in her village, with the help of a loan from GLOBE. With each success story, we witness the ripple effect of female empowerment, as women build businesses, support their families, and inspire their communities. But our work is far from over.
