The Chemistry Department of St. John's University has been serving students since 1921 when we offered our first chemistry classes. In order to ensure the success of future generations of chemistry majors, and to commemorate the 100th anniversary in September of 2021, we have established the Centennial Chemistry Endowed Scholarship Fund for Chemistry majors in St. John’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
To celebrate, alumni and faculty are invited to give back so that the future students of St. John’s University will benefit. Our goal is to reach $100,000 by our 100th anniversary in September of 2021. The funds from the scholarship will be awarded to a chemistry major in their sophomore, junior, or senior year, with preference given for a student with financial need.
We will be unveiling a plaque in St. John Hall to recognize donors who give $5,000 or more to the scholarship fund. To learn more about this or make a gift, please contact Nicholas Legakis, Director of Development at legakisn@stjohns.edu or at 917-476-6418.
